Project Description
About one in five youths nationwide will have a diagnosable mental health disorder by the age of 14. More than 300,000 California children between the ages 4 and 11 need mental health care, but only one in four is treated. The Child and Family Guidance Center provides services to low income families, primarily living in at-risk neighborhoods, with children that have significant emotional problems requiring comprehensive mental health interventions. Families often come to the Center feeling alone, and overwhelmed with the day-to-day challenges of raising a special needs child. The Center positively impacts the lives of more than 10,000 children and families yearly, through the provision of mental health therapy services (4,000 annually) and outreach services (6,000).To boost its reach and impact, The Center turned to HelpGood to develop a first of its kind digital marketing outreach campaign. The project is currently underway and in the strategy development phase.
