We leveraged YouTube stars for Save the Children’s Every Beat Matters

HelpGood conducted blogger and influencer outreach on behalf of Save the Children for their newborn and child survival campaign – Every Beat Matters. The campaign, produced by BBDO and the Ad Council, raised awareness of the 5 million children who die of preventable diseases each year. The band One Republic joined Every Beat Matters to produce a hit single, Feel Again, with the real heartbeats of sick children in developing countries., with a portion of the song proceeds were donated to the campaign.

HelpGood cultivated a relationship with JD, a young YouTuber who was gaining attention for his cover of “Feel Again.”  Working with JD gave the campaign more inspiring stories to tell and extended its reach. JD performed at Mashable’s Social Good Summit for the campaign and drove to the campaign through his popular YouTube videos.

In 2013, Every Beat Matters won a Clio Gold, a Cannes Lion and was also a Webby honoree.
