We Helped USAID Tell 100 Million About the Famine, War & Drought in the Horn of Africa
For the FWD campaign, HelpGood provided outreach guidance and support in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, the blogosphere as well as across other microcontent networks. November 9, 2011 was a particular focal point for the campaign known as FWD Day aka Forward Day. The goal for FWD Day was to have over 13 million shares of the campaign information across all social media platforms; a number equal to the number of people impacted by the crisis. Working alongside of USAID, the Ad Council and R/GA we surpassed the goal by a factor of 10 and won an Earnie award for best use of earned media!
