Acacia Center for Justice

Unlike the criminal justice system, there is no guarantee of representation for immigrants defending their case to stay in the U.S., no matter how young. Unaccompanied immigrant children as young as toddlers are forced to defend themselves alone in immigration court.

Acacia Center for Justice came to HelpGood for help recruiting lawyers to bridge this inhumane gap in justice. This issue made headlines early in the first Trump administration, but the news cycle moved on, along with our attention. The biggest challenge to this recruitment campaign was regaining attention amid so many other issues.

Working with influencers provided a way to reach Acacia’s target audiences with voices they already trust. We hand-picked two influencers for long-term partnerships who represented our targets to a tee—Reb Masel and Jordan McMeans—provided them briefs and let them create content authentic to themselves.

  • Influencer videos received a combined 1.4 million views on TikTok
  • The campaign landing page saw a 300% increase in direct traffic
  • Acacia Center for Justice gained over 800 new followers

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM)

Our core challenge was shifting the local donor perspective from reactive to proactive support for abortion care, because even in a sanctuary state like Massachusetts, getting the care you need isn’t easy.

To get in front of new, younger supporters, we developed a campaign that demonstrated that even in a sanctuary state, abortion is just the tip of the iceberg of the health equity problem that PPLM is working to solve.

Disability:IN

The leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion needed to rebuild their site and also revisit their overall messaging and communications approach, quickly. As a Disability Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE), HelpGood was definitely IN. We set out to demonstrate that accessible design can also look great. The site launched on time, meeting the highest accessibility standards, WCAG Level AAA.

  • HelpGood also designed and produced all new marketing materials and templates for their 20+ national affiliates.
  • The Disability:IN rebrand and new website propelled them into a new league, attracting even more Fortune 500 executives to commit to disability inclusion.
