Who we are

We’re HelpGood, a full-service agency committed to helping nonprofits, government agencies, universities, and cause marketers inspire action.

Privacy is important to us

At HelpGood, we believe in protecting your privacy, and that extends to our practices on this website. We will never sell your information. Like most websites, we collect aggregate traffic and usage data with the help of a handful of trusted partners. We collect only a minimal amount of personal information, and we always handle this data responsibly.

Information you share with us

You may elect to share information with us via forms on the site or otherwise. Here is a summary of the information you can share with us and how we collect and handle it.

Contact forms

When you use contact forms (including general contact, job applications, and other forms) to send messages to us on the site, we collect and store the data shown in the form. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in detecting spam and unauthorized use. We utilize the services of a third-party automated spam detection service, Akismet. To learn more about Akismet’s privacy practices, please visit Akismet’s Privacy Page and the Automattic Privacy Policy.

Aside from our spam mitigation efforts listed above, we don’t share any information that we collect in our contact forms.

Newsletter subscriptions

When you use a Mailchimp signup form on our site (any form marked “Subscribe”), Intuit Mailchimp records the email address, IP address, and timestamp of your submission. Mailchimp uses this data to process subscriptions and send email newsletters. You can easily opt-out by using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. For more information about Mailchimp’s privacy and security practices, please visit Mailchimp’s Security Page and the Intuit Privacy Policy.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Additional third-party partners

Like most websites on the internet, we leverage third-party partners in order to enhance the services we provide to visitors.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Aggregate traffic and usage data and essential services

Some of our partners assist us with collecting aggregate traffic and usage data and with providing other essential services on the website. A major criteria for including any third-party code on our site is a shared commitment to privacy — we work only with industry leading companies who take privacy and security seriously.

In the course of collecting data, these partners may use additional cookies or third-party tracking. We do not intentionally send personally identifiable information to these entities, but it is possible that they may collect such information in the course of providing services and collecting aggregate data.

Additional privacy policies you may be subject to

Here is a non-exhaustive list of providers we work with to bring you the content on this site and provide the services listed above. For more details, please review each service provider’s individual privacy policies:
